Let Us Voices of Love and Peace

ree

Today my heart is aching. Aching for what has happened to a man of faith, a man of his word, a man of values and convictions — Charlie Kirk. Beyond ideologies, beyond differences, beyond vestments and theories, what I see in this devastating event is a direct attack on freedom of expression, on faith, on love, on family, on the very essence of what we are as humanity.

We live in a fractured world, full of noise, of hatred and shadows. We are going through tumultuous times. Yet I firmly believe there is still hope. Because Jesus Christ Himself taught us the path: “Love one another, forgive, heal even those who wound us.” That is the true revolution: to be a voice of love in the midst of chaos, calm amid noise, light in the darkness.

That was his legacy — and today more than ever, it must be ours. Charlie Kirk knew this too.

Today I raise my voice — not to divide, but to unite. Not to sow fear, but to plant hope.

As a woman, as a writer, as a daughter of God, I commit to continue sowing words of healing, love, and understanding. Because no one, absolutely no one, can remove from my soul the certainty that light always prevails over darkness.

Once more, my heart trembles with the news coming from so many places: wars, power struggles, millions imprisoned by depression and existential voids, all kinds of abuse, injustices, young lives lost too early, men of faith struck by misunderstanding, wounded souls who seem to lose their way, and a long, sorrowful etcetera. Sometimes I crumble, and the world feels dark. And yet, here I am… holding firmly to the Rock that sustains me: my Father Abba and Christ Jesus. Tears come, yes, and sadness rests upon my chest. But amid the pain I discover something irrefutable: my faith remains intact. Because in the storm God embraces me, and in uncertainty Christ Jesus guides me.

Today, more than ever, I feel that my faith strengthens me, and I have learned that no one has the power to steal the purpose God planted within me. No comment, no disturbing shadow, no toxic voice, nothing outside the divine plan, can pull me off the path I walk.

My word will continue to be a seed of light, because it is my mission — and my mission is united to my purpose. That is non-negotiable.

Today I want to invite you, who read these lines, to pause a moment and ask yourself:

  • What voices are you letting into your life?

  • Who has the power to destabilize your peace?

  • From where are you holding your faith and your purpose?

Dedicated to Charlie Kirk: they silenced his body, but his spirit and legacy will echo in eternity.

With deepest love: Yirka Gonzalez
